Breakfast is King

The first morning of my long awaited vacation & this is what greets me!

The song “thought  I’d died & gone to heaven” plays in my mind on an endless loop.

A 4 Course Breakfast? Have you ever heard of something like that let alone see it??       And even better….eat it?? Its Dietetic utopia.

Lets deconstruct.

1st Course

Breakfast cereals- corn / wheat flakes, oats, muesil

With Milk or Yogurt which is either plain or flavoured

With fruits – whole or as compotes

With an assortment of seeds- pumpkin, sesame, chia, flax, sunflower.

 

2nd  Course

Nuts- Almond, pistsachio, walnuts

Dates

Dried fruits – apricot, prunes raisins

 

3rd Course

Cold cuts – salami, sausages, ham, prosciutto, mortadella

Eggs- scrambled, boiled, fried

Cheeses – goats, feta, cheddar, blue, mozzarella (so that the vegans don’t feel left out)

 

4th Course

Breads- croissants, waffles, buns, toast

With sauces- chocolate,

With jams- strawberry, raspberry,

With marmalades – orange

For those still unsatisfied, tarts and baklava.
